Workshop Only Registration

Workshop Only registrations are not able to be used for the main conference on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September or any of its related social functions such as the Welcome Reception and the Conference Dinner. 

Pre-Conference Workshops

Each year at the Victoria Annual Conference, we strive to deliver a Workshop Program that is both engaging and practical, giving our delegates and colleagues the opportunity to gain skills that may not be easily accessible in their everyday work.

This year, we're excited to offer three workshop options, including two half-day sessions, allowing you the chance to attend both and maximise your learning experience.

Paediatric Procedural Workshop

This half-day, hands-on workshop is designed for emergency medicine doctors seeking to enhance their proficiency in paediatric procedural techniques. The session will focus on two key ultrasound-guided procedures: paediatric intravenous (IV) access via the IVC and lumbar puncture. Participants will rotate through multiple small-group stations, each facilitated by experienced clinicians who will provide guidance on ultrasound use and procedural technique. High-fidelity phantom and lumbar models will be used to replicate paediatric anatomy and enhance realism. Lunch provided from 12.30pm

Leadership Workshop

What kind of leader are you? Join us for a half day simulation and communication skills workshop designed to explore the challenges to being a ‘leader' within ED and how we can overcome them. The course will entail an introductory talk and group discussion followed by 4 experiential learning stations designed to let you practice the skills and situations you find most challenging. Suitable for those starting out on their leadership journey to those who want an opportunity to challenge themselves and reflect on their skills. Lunch provided from 12.30pm

Cancellations All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to ACEM Events. Cancellations received up to and including Friday 18 July 2025 will receive a full refund, less a $150.00 administration fee. Cancellations received between Saturday 19 July 2025 and Friday 15 August 2025 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after Friday 15 August 2025. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty. Conditions The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) reserve the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that is deemed to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others. Registrations received by ACEM will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed. Non-payment or non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of the event and will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Disclaimer All details are correct at the time of publication.
