Eye and ENT Workshop

In the hands-on Advanced Eye Workshop, we will have small group instruction and demonstration by Ophthalmologists and Eye Registrars. This team of specialists will provide expert advice and detailed direction on the use of advanced techniques in eye care.

Delivered as a full-day workshop in two sessions at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, East Melbourne. This workshop is suitable for FACEMs and emergency trainees.

Dislocation Masterclass

US workshop – Bedside TTE in Critical Care

Aimed at clinicians who are already familiar with basic TTE image acquisition and would like to progress to the ‘next level’. The course covers the assessment of a shock patient – how to assess and describe the causes of shock in all its forms. Areas covered include LV causes shock RV dysfunction (acute and chronic), Tamponade Aortic dissection, IHD basic valvular pathology, advanced haemodynamic assessment and fluid responsiveness, useful measurements and calculations, and what you DON’T need to measure.

Cancellations All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to ACEM Events. Cancellations received up to and including Friday 21 July 2023 will receive a full refund, less a $150.00 administration fee. Cancellations received between Friday 28 July 2023 and Friday 18 August 2023 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given after Friday 18 August 2023. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty. Conditions The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) reserve the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that is deemed to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others. Registrations received by ACEM will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed.
