Chris Cresswell Memorial Bike Ride

Join us for a bike ride on the afternoon of Wednesday 23 October 2019 in memory of Dr Chris Cresswell, our colleague that we lost three years ago.
Chris's family have identified the
Skylight not-for-profit trust as the charity if delegates are wanting to make a donation in Chris's memory, should consider supporting, whether or not you participate in the bike ride.

Bike Rental Options
If you need to hire a bike for the ride, please view the available options below including the rental price associated. All prices include bike rental with a drop off and pick up from the Millennium hotel. OPTION 1: Great Lake Bike Way Grade 1 easy scenic ride around the Lake Taupo edge. For information on the ride, click here .OPTION 2: Craters of the Moon Mountain Bike Park In this park, there is 55km of single-track mountain bike trails offering options for beginner mountain bikers as well as advanced bikers. Price includes bike rental, return shuttle and entry fee. For more information on the ride, click here. OPTION 3: Craters Mountain Bike Park Tracks This is for those who bring their own bike . Price includes return shuttle and entry fee. For more information on the ride, click here .OPTION 4: Hard Tail Mountain Bike Rental Only Delegates can hire a bike and make their own way from and to the Millennium Hotel. For more information, click here . OPTION A: Full Suspension Mountain Bike Rental Upgrade Delegates can upgrade their hard tail mountain bike to a full suspension bike for an additional $50. For more information, click here . (eg. Option 2 and Option A would be $70 + $50 = $120)

Wairakei Hot Pools

Delegates are welcome to purchase tickets to the Wairakei Hot Pools. Significant natural thermal springs; mud and silica waters found in geothermal areas have been used for hundreds of years by Maori for healing and wellness. Specific sites were often located in beautiful landscapes, at the junction of rivers and streams, on the shores of pristine lakes and below magnificent silica terraces. At Wairakei Terraces, pools of varying temperatures between have been strategically positioned below the silica terraces and waterfall, taking full advantage of the geothermal water flow that is drawn to the earth’s surface from 1.5 kilometres underground.

Details as given in this form (and any subsequent amendment) will be included in the delegate list produced for the conference. It will be supplied to organising bodies, sponsors and all participants attending the conference.

Terms and Conditions
Cancellations
All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to events@acem.org.au. Cancellations received up to and including Tuesday 24 September 2019 will receive a full refund, less a $150.00 administration fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after Wednesday 25 September 2019. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty.
Payments
Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card. Accepted credit cards: MasterCard and Visa. All transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Australasian College for Emergency Medicine’. If you are unable to pay by credit card, please contact events@acem.org.au.
Privacy
During the process of registration, the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine will gather and record personal information necessary for your attendance. All personal information is gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.
Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine will not cover individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the conference or for theft or damage to belongings.
Liability
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine do not accept any responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates in the course of the event. The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine takes no responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the conference or associated activities.
Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.
Please note that the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (NZ) is an owned New Zealand business, for trading and registration purposes.
