The Aotearoa New Zealand Local Organising Committee is pleased to invite all emergency medicine physicians to the ACEM Aotearoa New Zealand Emergency Medicine Conference 2024 at the Devon Hotel, New Plymouth, in beautiful Taranaki, from Wednesday 6, to Friday 8 March.

The committee is bringing together a stellar collection of Kiwi and international speakers for a fun and informative conference following the theme of Changing Tides. It will be an excellent opportunity to explore the ebb and flow of emergency medicine, discuss the local and nationwide issues impacting you and connect with new and old members of the faculty.

Speakers on the cutting-edge of emergency medicine will share their knowledge and experience, including Scott Weingart (virtual) and Darren Braude (virtual), airway expert from EMRAP and EmCrit Podcast, ACEM Past President John Bonning, ACEM Immediate Past President Clare Skinner, ACEM President Stephen Gourley, Daniel Fatovich of Perth, a leader in EM research, Chris Denny on retrieval medicine, Elspeth Frascatore, and many more. There will also be an optional ultrasound workshop, a Te Reo Māori workshop and meetings.

From the group that brought you the Humanity conference in 2021, we will encourage social activities, wellbeing and connecting with your colleagues. Join us for the Gala Dinner on the Thursday evening at the beautiful East End Surf Club.

There will also be ample time to explore what the local region has to offer, from the stunning Mount Taranaki, and the flourishing local art industry to the local beaches and surf scene. Optional recreational activities will be planned, and a wind down yoga will take place at the end of the conference.
