Terms and Conditions

Cancellations
All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to ACEM Events on events@acem.org.au. Cancellations received up to and including the 8th of January 2024 will receive a full refund, less a $150.00 administration fee. Cancellations received between 9th January 2024 and 7th February 2024 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations received from the 8th of February 2024 onwards. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty. 

Conditions
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) reserves the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that is deemed to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others.

Registrations received by ACEM will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed.
Non-payment or non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of the event and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Disclaimer
All details are correct at the time of publication. The Organising Committee and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) reserve the right to change the program and social functions at any time without notice.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) do not cover individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the Conference or for theft or damage to belongings.

Liability
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) do not accept any responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates in the course of the event. The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) do not take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the Conference or associated activities.

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.

Photography & Videography
While attending the conference you may be photographed or videoed. By registering for the Conference, you agree to these photographs and footage being used for promotional purposes.

Privacy
During the process of registration the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) will gather and record personal information necessary for your attendance. All personal information is gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

Payments
Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card. Accepted credit cards: MasterCard and Visa. All transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘New Zealand ED Conference Trust’. If you are unable to pay by credit card, please contact events@acem.org.au.  

Security
Your payment is processed through Stripe Payment Gateway. Stripe secures all your customer and credit-card data with military-grade software and servers, and the highest level of encryption available. Australasian College for Emergency Medicine will not store or transfer any of your credit card information. All data is transferred using Stripe's secure servers.


ACEM is the not-for-profit organisation responsible for training emergency physicians and advancement of professional standards in emergency medicine in Australia and New Zealand.
